The toll relief initiative which was implemented to support recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa will be discontinued effective April 1.
This was announced by the Toll Authority in a post on Instagram.
The initiative, introduced on November 10 last year, allowed vehicles transporting humanitarian aid and essential supplies to travel toll-free, enabling the efficient delivery of support to affected communities.
During its implementation, the initiative facilitated improved access to social protection services, supported MSME recovery and operations, facilitated infrastructure redevelopment and aided the gradual return to normalcy in several communities across the island.
