Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness is expressing hope that adjustments can be made to the programme to make it compliant with Jamaica’s laws.
Earlier this month, the Jamaican government announced that the current arrangement has been terminated.
It cited issues with payment among reasons for the discontinuation.
Speaking in Parliament today, Dr. Holness said efforts were made to ensure Cuba’s compliance, but this was not achieved.
