Man suspected to have choked to death after participating in bun eating contest in Christiana, Manchester yesterday

A man is suspected to have choked to death, after participating in a bun eating contest, in Christiana, Manchester yesterday.

He is 37-year-old Kerron Powell, a farmer of Litchfield District in Trelawny.

According to lawmen, the incident occurred at around 12:00 PM on Main Street Christiana.

It’s reported that Powell was among three participants in a bun eating contest, during the activity, Powell started to choke.

He was assisted to the hospital and on arrival, he was examined and later pronounced dead.
