Three men from Portland are to face the court on charges related to lottery scamming activities.

They are: 22-year-old Jaheim Smith and 30-year-old Delroy Howard, both of Land Settlement, as well as 26-year-old Kimani Pollack, of Buff Bay.

They were arrested during targeted operations on Monday and Tuesday, by members of the Anti-Lottery Scam Unit within the police’s specialized investigation branch.

Reports are that during coordinated searches of the men’s residences, the police seized several electronic devices, including cellular phones and other items believed to be used in the commission of lottery scam activities.

Police say an analysis of the devices revealed identity information belonging to individuals believed to be residing overseas.

A Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Mark X were also seized during the operation, along with over $300,000 in cash.

The men were subsequently interviewed and formally charged.

Their court date is being finalised.
