JDF member charged with killing girlfriend remanded after appearing in court today

27-year-old Jamaica Defence Force member Damanice Williamson was remanded when he appeared in the Manchester Parish Court on a murder charge today.
He is accused of killing his girlfriend, 29-year-old Tanzanya Dunkley, in Three Chains in the parish.
Her throat was slashed.
Judge Anneil Coote-Guinness ordered that Williamson’s fingerprints be taken and that he undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
He is set to reappear in court on May 20.
Family members of Dunkley and Williamson turned up in court this morning.
Meanwhile, Dunkley’s employer, Irvin Sullivan, spoke with journalists following the court hearing.
