Commanding Officer for St James Police urges residents to go through right channels by seeking permits before hosting events

Commanding Officer for St. James, Senior Superintendent Eron Samuels is urging residents to go through the right channels by seeking permits before hosting events.
He raised the matter at the recent meeting of the St. James Municipal Corporation.
SSP Samuels expressed that in light of the effects of Hurricane Melissa the police are trying to facilitate the events.
In the meantime, the Commanding Officer outlined the time stipulations associated with events, noting that events held Friday and Saturday nights may go up until 2 A.M.
This he said depends on safety and security actors.
