Guardsman Group pledges continued support of burn survivors

Local security company Guardsman Group has pledged to continue supporting the 2 burn survivors who returned to Jamaica yesterday following specialised treatment in the United States of America.

The men have been transferred to the University Hospital of the West Indies for further treatment and therapy.

Their 2 colleagues who also sustained burns during the explosion incident at the garage in May succumbed to their injuries.

In a statement, Guardsman Executive Chairman Kenneth Benjamin acknowledged the men’s safe return to Jamaica and also expressed appreciation to entities such as Burn Victims International and Trinity Ambulance Services for their support.

Benjamin noted that from the onset the company remained actively engaged in ensuring that the affected employees received the medical care, support and resources required.

Throughout the treatment overseas, Guardsman maintained communication with those involved in the men’s care and continued to provide support to the employees and their families.

Following their return to Jamaica, representatives of guardsman engaged with the medical team at UHWI to support a smooth transition to local care and the continuation of their treatment and rehabilitation.

Benjamin assured that the company will remain by the men’s sides, as well as their families, providing ongoing support throughout the recovery process.
