Three people have been rushed to hospital following a motor vehicle collision along the Carey Main Road in Duncans, Trelawny this afternoon.
The crash, which occurred at about 3:40 p.m., involved two Honda motor vehicles – one driven by a police officer and the other by a teacher.
Communications Officer for the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) Leon Nash, confirmed that President-Elect, Dr. Maureen Mullings-Nelson was a passenger in the vehicle driven by the teacher.
He said Dr. Mullings-Nelson and the teacher are receiving treatment.
The condition of the police officer has not been ascertained.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
