Police have charged a man in relation to the triple murder and arson attack in Kidd Lane in Kingston last Friday.
He is 19-year-old Dante Davis, of Spanish Town Road and Kidd Lane in Kingston.
Davis has been slapped with three counts of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, arson, possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.
The charges stem from the deaths of 39-year-old Kimesha Gibson, 30-year-old Lashea Ellis and one-year-old Khael Daley.
Reports are that on October 9, citizens heard explosions and summoned the police.
Officers who responded observed that the premises was engulfed in flames so the fire brigade was contacted.
Following cooling down operations, Gibson was found with gunshot wounds at the rear of the premises, while the charred remains of Ellis and Khael were discovered inside.
Police subsequently listed 11 persons of interest in relation to the incident.
Davis was taken into police custody the following day.
His court date is being finalised.
The police say the swift arrest and charge of Davis demonstrates its coordinated approach to tackling violent crimes with meticulous investigative work, technology and the collaboration of various JCF units to ensure perpetrators are brought before the court.
Three other men are also in police custody.
