Assault rifle, ammo found at premises on Crescent Road in St Andrew

The St Andrew South police seized an AAC Honey Badger rifle with a magazine containing nineteen 5.56 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Crescent Road in St Andrew on Saturday.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 12:50 pm, law enforcers were in the area when a premises was searched.

During the search, the firearm was found buried at the rear of the premises.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

An investigation continues into the development.
