The St Mary police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a pregnant woman whose body was discovered along the Devon Pen main road on Sunday.
The deceased is of a dark complexion, slim build, and appearing to be in her mid to late twenties and was approximately six months pregnant at the time of her death, according to a police statement.
Notable tattoos on her body include the words "JvsC” and “Labeeb,” as well as a cross on her chest.
At the time of the discovery, the body was clad in a white T-shirt, blue underwear, and black socks.
Videos have gone viral on social media showing residents recovering the body which was wrapped in a blue tarpaulin from a precipice.
The discovery was made about 4pm on Sunday.
Her body had several marks of violence, including signs of strangulation and multiple abrasions. Blood was also observed on clothing reportedly used to wrap the body.
