The Clarendon Police are working to further reduce major crimes this year, with the aim of keeping murders below 50.
Clarendon recorded 41 murders last year, down from 69 in 2024.
Speaking at the Clarendon Division Church Service yesterday, Commanding Officer Senior Superintendent Shane McCalla noted that the police’s efforts would be futile without God’s guidance and protection.
He called on the citizens to continue to support the police
Meanwhile, Commander for Area Three, Assistant Commissioner Calvin Allen described the reduction in murders in Clarendon as phenomenal.
