A police man is in hospital battling for his life after he was shot in Portmore, St Catherine.
Full details into the incident are not clear at this time but reports so far are that the law enforcement officer, a sergeant, was at his home on Thursday night when he was attacked and shot by unknown assailants.
He was rushed to hospital where he has since been admitted.
Following the incident, the police federation has sent out an an urgent appeal for the donation of blood for *the police man who was assigned to the St Catherine North Division.
"Kindly donate blood at the National Blood Bank or any blood receivable location island-wide and take the receipt to *the Spanish Town Hospital* or any blood receivable location island-wide.
Spanish Town Hospital -St Catherine, the message from the police federation stated.
