
A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged after cops reportedly caught him driving a stolen motor vehicle.
The man, Vonjae Johnson is a resident of Time and Patience district in Linstead, St Catherine.
He has been charged with larceny of motor vehicle and receiving stolen property following his arrest on Wednesday, March 12.
Reports from the Montego Bay police are that at about 9:30 pm, a man parked and securely
locked his Nissan AD wagon motor car along Kent Avenue in Montego Bay, St James, and went to work.
On his return, he discovered that the vehicle had been stolen.
A report was made to the police, who immediately shared details of the motor car via the police radio network.
Later that night, a patrol team who heard the transmission spotted the motor car being driven along Hague main road in St James and intercepted it; Johnson was driving the vehicle.
He was arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
