In a social media post on platform X, the JCF appealed to the suspect to surrender to the nearest police station. The man is wanted by the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (P-STEB).

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has released an enhanced image of a taxi operator accused of vandalising government property.

In a social media post on platform X, the JCF appealed to the suspect to surrender to the nearest police station. The man is wanted by the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (P-STEB).

The incident, which occurred last week in the Corporate Area, went viral on social media on Sunday.

A video shows a man, allegedly the taxi operator, sprinting towards a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus and throwing objects at it, shattering the windows and sending glass fragments inside the vehicle. Passengers on board watched in shock as the attack unfolded.

The man then retreated to a vehicle believed to be a taxi, while passengers urged the JUTC driver to reverse. In doing so, the bus made contact with the side of the taxi, momentarily stopping it. The video concludes with the taxi stopping in front of the bus, as the driver exits and moves towards the sidewalk.

Transport Minister Daryl Vaz addressed the incident on Monday, urging the man to surrender to authorities. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and police have yet to comment on the specifics of the case. The dramatic footage, apparently filmed by a JUTC passenger, continues to circulate widely on social media.
