Cotton candy vendor booked for allegedly knifing students during fuss

Thirty-year-old Troy Adamson, a vendor of Ghetto district, St Ann’s Bay, St Ann, has been charged with wounding with intent following an incident on the Martha Brae main road in Trelawny on Wednesday, October 9.

Reports from the Falmouth police are that about 3:05 pm, Adamson was selling cotton candy when he got into an argument with a group of boys, whom he threatened to kill for laughing at him.

Adamson allegedly took a knife and stabbed two of the boys in the head.

The boys tried to escape further attack, but were caught by Adamson, who inflicted other stab wounds to their faces before making his escape in the area on foot.

The boys were assisted to the hospital, where they were treated and later released.

A report was made to the police and Adamson was subsequently arrested and taken into custody, where he was positively identified, and was charged on Tuesday, October 15.

A court date is being finalised for him.
