Curfew imposed in Rockfort as tension after 5 killed still lingers

A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Rockfort, Kingston 2.

The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 8 and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm, Sunday, November 10.

This is the second 48 curfew imposed in the community after five people were shot and killed by gunmen in late October.

The areas of the curfew are:

 North: Along Pleasant Heights Road from the Marl Pit to Hillside Crescent East: Along an imaginary line from Windward Road to the vicinity of Doech Road and onto Hillside Crescent. South: Along Windward Road from Doech Road to Oliver Road. West: Along Oliver Road from Windward Road to the Marl Pit at Pleasant Heights Road.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises, unless otherwise authourised.
