Delano Seiveright warns public about fraudulent video circulating on social media that unlawfully uses his image

State Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce Delano Seiveright, is warning members of the public about a fraudulent video circulating on social media which unlawfully uses his image and a manipulated voice generated through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

Seiveright said the video is entirely false and unauthorized.

He said he has no connection to the video, the individuals responsible for its creation or distribution, or any investment opportunity, financial scheme, product, or service being promoted.

Mr. Seivright is urging Jamaicans at home and in the diaspora to exercise extreme caution and not be misled by online content falsely suggesting his endorsement of any venture or investment opportunity.

Members of the public are being advised not to send money, share personal or financial information, or engage with any links, web sites, or contact information associated with the fraudulent video.

The matter has been reported to the relevant social media platforms and authorities, and efforts are underway to have the content removed and those responsible identified.

Persons who encounter the video should report it immediately, refrain from sharing it and verify information only through official Government of Jamaica and ministry communication channels.
