Deliveryman dies from bike crash in Westmoreland

Twenty-two-year-old Romaine McLeod, a deliveryman of Berkshire district, Westmoreland, died from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision along the Berkshire main road on Saturday, October 5.

Reports are that about 11:30 pm, McLeod was driving a motorcycle along the roadway when it collided head-on with a Toyota Hiace minibus that was being driven in the opposite direction.

McLeod was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on October 6.

The driver of the Hiace motor bus sustained minor injuries and was treated at hospital.

He has been warned for prosecution.

The investigation continues into the incident.
