21 years since the tragic death of famed Black Roses Crew dancer, Gerald Levy, known professionally as Bogle, his friend, dancehall DJ and music producer Delly Ranx, in a Music News interview earlier today says Mr Wacky was more than a friend to him.
Bogle rose to local fame in the early 1990s when he created the self-titled dance immortalized by Buju Banton’s 1992 hit, Bogle. By the mid-1990s, Bogle was credited with the dances Urkel and World-a-Dance.
The popular dancer was killed on January 20, 2005, shortly after reportedly leaving a Weddy Weddy dance in Kingston.
As a founding member of the Black Roses Crew, he created some of the most renowned dance steps still practiced today in Jamaica and around the world.
