Director of Corruption Prosecution at Integrity Commission Roneiph Lawrence has resigns

Director of Corruption Prosecution at the Integrity Commission Roneiph Lawrence has resigned.

The Integrity Commission today announced the resignation which takes effect March 31.

The Commission says it has acknowledged his resignation and is taking the necessary administrative steps to ensure continuity within the corruption prosecution division and the sustained, independent execution of its functions.

The Commission has expressed sincere appreciation for Mr. Lawrence’s dedicated service, leadership, and significant contributions to advancing its mandate.

Mr. Lawrence’s appointment as Director of Corruption Prosecution was announced last year October.

Prior to that he acted in the position.

That appointment in April, triggered objection from two senior government members who cited Mr Lawrence’s reported close friendship with People’s National Party, PNP General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell.
