Eight Haitian nationals were apprehended by police in Ewarton, St. Catherine on Saturday.
The group consists of 4 males and 4 females.
Head of the St. Catherine north Police Senior Superintendent Hopton Nicholson said the group was granted temporary entry but stayed longer than permitted.
He said lawmen in collaboration with personnel from the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency, PICA, are conducting further investigations.
