An elderly Canadian woman died from injuries she sustained in a crash involving a motorcycle and a motorcar on the Sandy Bank main road in St Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Janice Stewart.
According to residents, the incident occurred about 4:40 pm when a motorcycle with Stewart and her husband on board collided with a motorcar.
Both occupants of the motorcycle sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital, where Janice – the pillion rider - was pronounced dead.
The condition of her husband is not known at this time.
Police investigations are ongoing into the incident.
