Firefighters have successfully extinguished a blaze that broke out in an apartment on the upper floor of Turtle Beach Towers in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on Thursday morning.
Preliminary reports indicate that the fire was first noticed sometime after 10 am by other occupants of the apartment complex, who observed flames coming from one of the units. A team from the Ocho Rios Fire Department quickly responded and managed to bring the situation under control.
The affected unit is owned by an Indian national, who, along with her immediate family, was not present at the time of the incident.
