Fire destroys shops at Constant Spring Arcade on Monday, December 30.
A fire of unknown origin, on Monday, completed destroyed two businesses in the Constant Spring Arcade in St Andrew.
Reports are that at about 9 am fire was seen coming from one of the premises, which operated as a bar and restaurant. The blaze destroyed the two premises and damaged a third.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke and flames consuming the affected establishments as firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control.
The Jamaica Fire Brigade has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, but as of now, the origin remains unknown.
Deputy Superintendent Andrew Campbell, speaking on behalf of the brigade, said, “We are actively gathering information to determine the cause of the fire. Our priority is ensuring safety and providing clarity to the affected business owners.”
