Governor General Sir Patrick Allen says procurement systems reform and continued investments in national security will be a part of the government’s agenda for fiscal year 2026/2027.
Sir Patrick is delivering the throne speech, during the ceremonial opening of Parliament at George William Gordon House, in Kingston.
Noting that more Jamaicans continue to feel safe due to gains made in crime reduction, the governor general said the government will continue to provide the necessary resources to the security forces.
