The Government and the Jamaica Public Service have signed the agreement for the US$150 million loan.
Energy Minister Daryl Vaz says the agreement was signed on Friday.
The funding will help the JPS complete restoration works following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa on October 28.
Mr Vaz says Finance Minister Fayval Williams will make public the terms and conditions of the loan.
