Grief counselling is underway at Edwin Allen High school in Clarendon following the death of a student in a crash last evening, on the Chapelton Main Road in the parish.
The boy has been identified as 14-year-old Jaydon Smith, a resident of Crawl River District in Clarendon.
Police reports are that about 6:30 PM, Smith was a passenger in a Nissan Sunny motor car heading towards May Pen when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided into a wall.
Both occupants were taken to hospital where Smith was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, Principal of Edwin Allen High school, Jermaine Harris led the school in observing a moment of silence during its general assembly this morning.
