Health and wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says the artificial intelligence in health committee will seek to address health concerns such as non-communicable diseases.
The committee was formed to explore possibilities of enhancing healthcare service delivery using AI technology.
Speaking yesterday at a press briefing to discuss the establishment of the committee, Dr. Tufton highlighted the importance of AI to the future of health care.
He pointed out that one of the concerns that will be prioritised is lifestyle or non-communicable disease.
He explained that AI is being used to aid in administering health and Jamaica does not want to be left behind.
