Health Ministry warns against engaging with AI generated video falsely showing Dr. Tufton commenting on a blood pressure pill

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is warning the public against engaging with a viral social media video which falsely claims that the Health Minister commented on a blood pressure pill.

The Ministry says the video, which uses the image and voice of Dr. Christopher Tufton is fake and clearly AI generated.

The public is therefore advised not to share the video, engage with the website link or follow through on any order of this fake medication.

Jamaicans are being urged to ensure that they only seek treatment and care and or health information from official authorized sources, including doctors, health centres, hospitals or the Health Ministry.
