Information Minister, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon has welcomed Jamaica’s 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index  score, while expressing hope that it will be increased.

According to Transparency International, Jamaica ranked 73rd out of 180 countries with a score of 44 out of 100.

A score of 0 represents “highly corrupt,” while 100 indicates “very clean.”

Jamaica’s score of 44 remains the country’s best ever on the CPI – a feat previously attained in previous years between 2017 and 2025.

Responding to questions at today’s post-Cabinet press briefing, the Information Minister said the latest score and rank are as a result of measures implemented by the government.

She said Jamaica has a robust anti-corruption system in place as well as accountability systems which are strong.
