Tommi Gore and Senna Summerbell, fresh off their historic third-place finish at the ADAC GT4 Germany Championships, are in advanced discussions with Porsche to secure sponsorship for their 2025 racing season.

The Jamaican racers initially competed under the SAPE Motor Sports banner, driving an Audi R8 with all-Jamaican branding. Despite a rocky start to the 2024 season, they joined W&S Motorsport mid-season, switching to a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and delivering strong performances that boosted their standing.

“It was an amazing journey for two young men from Jamaica, who came out of nowhere and jumped into the line of fire. It was a challenging journey, and we are very proud of their achievements,” said Doug Gore, father of Tommi and a Jamaican racing icon. “Based on their phenomenal results, we are working towards surpassing their achievements on the circuit for 2025, with the continuation of and addition of new sponsors for the season.”

Sponsors, including Sherwin Williams, the S Hotel, and Barita Investments, were honoured for their contributions to Tommi Gore and Senna Summerbell's success during a sponsor appreciation event at the S Hotel on Saturday.

Kenneth Richardson, Sherwin Williams’ district manager, praised the duo’s historic accomplishment: “We are happy to be part of the history that has been created. This is one of the greatest partnerships in motorsport right now. We are glad we picked the right team, with Jamaican cars representing Jamaica,” Richardson said.

Tommi Gore, who debuted in Formula 4 Central Europe in late 2023, credited his rookie season in Europe with setting the foundation for future success. “When we saw the big guys performing, we were still optimistic that we would at least make it into the top 10 of the series. This was our debut season, and as rookies, our presence created a great impact for us and, by extension, Jamaica. We await our exploits in 2025, as we work towards surpassing our historic achievement in 2024,” Gore said.

Senna Summerbell, son of Jamaican racing legend David Summerbell Jr., highlighted the challenges of balancing his final year at university while preparing for the championships.  “At first, it seemed unrealistic. When we started scouting for sponsors, I was in my last year at university, and we really worked hard to ensure that we would compete in the championships,” he said. “Most nights, our family and friends would call to check in on us, and this kept us motivated. We are anticipating an exciting 2025 series and will work towards surpassing the expectations we had for this year.”
