Janitor arrested after money goes missing at business establishment

Fifty-four-year-old Arland Martin, a janitor of Brown's Town, St. Ann, has been charged with larceny as a servant following an incident at a business establishment in the parish on Thursday, October 3.

 Reports from the Browns Town Police are that the manager of the establishment discovered discrepancies in two seperate transactions.

The investigation revealed that sums totaling $140,300 in October and $146,000 in December were missing.

 Surveillance footage later confimed that Martin accessed the company's vault on two separate occasions and removed the cash.

 A report was made to the police, leading to Martin's arrest and subsequent charge. His court date is yet to be finalised.
 

The investigation is ongoing.
