Minister of Justice Delroy Chuck has hit out at extortionists, noting that the police and relevant authorities will continue to rid the country of gangs.
He made the statement at a church service yesterday to mark the 4th anniversary of the St. Catherine Justices of the Peace Association of Jamaica.
Mr. Chuck blasted gangs that extort hard-working Jamaicans, such as bus drivers and vendors at some of the island’s markets.
He said if gangs are not dealt with, they will flourish as they do in Haiti.
He urged the Justices of the Peace and citizens of St. Catherine to cut out any form of wrongdoing.
