Kingston man charged for shooting at the police

The Hunts Bay Police have arrested and charged a man who allegedly shot at the police when they responded to an incident on York Avenue, Kingston 11 on Friday, December 20, 2024.

He is 26-year-old Adrian Morrison of York Avenue, Kingston 11.

Morrison is charged with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that at about 9:30 am, a police team was on duty when they received information about men seen with high-powered weapons.

They went to the location—York Avenue—and were reportedly greeted with gunfire. In the aftermath of the incident, Morrison was taken into custody. Three other suspects escaped.

Morrison was subsequently charged following the finalization of investigative processes. His court date is being finalised.
