The body of a man was found with what appeared to be chop wounds at his home in Runaway Bay, St Ann on Saturday.
The deceased is Bernard Ingram, a labourer of Bellaire in Runaway Bay.
Reports are that Ingram's sister went to his home sometime after 10am to make checks on him, and found his lifeless body.
An alarm was raised and the police were alerted.
On their arrival, the body was seen with multiple chop wounds to the head, abdomen and other sections of the upper body.
No motive has yet been established for the killing.
