Thirty-eight-year-old Micheal Morgan, a laborer from August Town Road, Kingston 7, has been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit larceny of a
motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property.
These charges stem from an incident that occurred on Burke Road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, on Saturday, February 15.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that at about 12:00 pm a woman parked and securely locked her vehicle in a bus park when she returned, she discovered that her car was missing.
The woman reported the incident to the police who acted on information and located the vehicle along Old Harbour main road.
Morgan was seen removing the license plate from the vehicle.
Upon noticing the police approaching, he and two other men attempted to flee the area.
The police pursued them, resulting in Morgan's arrest. The stolen vehicle was recovered and identified by the owner.
After a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney, Morgan was formally charged.
He is scheduled to appear before the Spanish Town Parish Court on Friday, February 21.
