Sleuths assigned to the St. Andrew Central Division seized one Daewoo DR 200 rifle with a magazine containing twelve 5.56 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Waltham Park Road, Kingston 11 on Saturday, January 18.
Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that at about 7:30 am, the lawmen were in the area when a man was seen trying to go over a wall at the back of a house, he was intercepted and the premises was searched where the firearm and ammunition were found wrapped in a plastic bag
inside of a drum.
The man was taken into custody in relation to the seizure.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
