A team of officers assigned to the Kingston Western Police Division seized one 9mm pistol with a magazine containing nine 9mm rounds of ammunition during an operation
on Charles Street in the parish on Wednesday, January 22.
Reports from the Denham Town Police are that at about 9:10 am, lawmen were in the area when they saw a man.
On seeing the police, the man ran and threw an object on the ground.
The object was retrieved and a closer examination of the ojbect revealed that is was Canik 9mm pistol with a magazine nine 9mm rounds of ammunition.
No one was arrested in relation to this seizure.
Investigation continues.
