A man was shot and killed in Newtown St Elizabeth last night.
He is 47-year-old Basil Bruce a labourer of Zena Way in New Town.
Lawmen say sometime between 9 and 10 PM, Bruce was walking along the roadway when he was pounced upon by armed men who shot him several times before fleeing the scene.
The police were alerted and Bruce was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
