Six schools, including Jamaica College (JC), secured decisive wins on matchday 19 of the 2024 ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup football competition on Wednesday.

JC, the most successful school in the competition with 31 titles, dominated Pembroke Hall High 18-0 in their Zone F return leg fixture at Ashenheim Stadium. Nashordo Gibbs led the scoring with a hat-trick.

The victory extended JC's goal tally to 27 unanswered goals against Pembroke Hall, having previously beaten them 9-0 on September 10. JC now leads the zone with 13 points from five matches, three points clear of second-place Excelsior High. Pembroke Hall, enduring their fifth consecutive loss, have conceded 42 goals this season, managing only one in a 3-1 defeat to Bridgeport High on September 27.

In another Zone F encounter, Bridgeport High cruised to a 4-0 victory over Ascot High at home. The win brings them level on six points with their Portmore rivals, but they sit third in the five-team zone due to a superior goal difference.

St Jago High and Eltham High also recorded emphatic wins, each netting six goals. St Jago defeated St Mary's College 6-1, securing their fourth win in six games but remaining third in Zone E with 12 points. Wolmer’s Boys lead the zone with a perfect 18 points, followed by Tivoli Gardens High with 15. St Mary's College sit fifth with two points.

Eltham High maintained their flawless form in Zone A with a dominant 6-0 home win over Ardenne High, extending their winning streak to five games. Having triumphed 10-0 in the first leg at Ardenne, Eltham now lead the table with 15 points, six clear of last season's runners-up, Hydel High. Ardenne remain rooted to the bottom, still without a point after five matches.

St George's College secured another emphatic win, defeating Papine High 5-0 at home to claim their fourth victory in five games. Having previously won the first leg 10-0 at Papine, the result lifts St George's to the top of Zone G with 13 points. St Catherine High is level on points but sits second in the standings.
