The Mayberry 2025 Swim Classic is set to return on Friday and Saturday at the National Aquatic Centre in Kingston, organisers have announced.

Regarded as one of Jamaica’s leading youth swimming events, the competition provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and prepare for international competition.

This year’s edition will introduce a new high-performance segment on Friday, aimed exclusively at high school swimmers to enhance their competitive development. Meanwhile, the prep and primary school categories will remain a core part of the event, giving younger athletes a chance to refine their skills.

Speaking at the press launch on Tuesday, Desiree Wheeler, marketing manager at Mayberry Investments Limited, said: "At Mayberry, we are passionate about fostering excellence, discipline, and opportunity—whether in business or sports. The Mayberry Swim Classic embodies our deep commitment to youth development and to ensuring that young athletes have the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.”

The event is also supported by Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL), which underscored the importance of investment in youth sports. "Swimming is one of the many disciplines in which Jamaican athletes have the potential to excel on the world stage,” said Chloleen Daley-Muschett, SVL's corporate communication and PR Manager. “Through our continued investment in sports development, we are helping to create the next generation of champions.”
