Four of the 6 retrofitted modular containers that will become the new infirmary in Trelawny are in place.
Falmouth Mayor Collen Gager gave the update on Thursday meeting of the Trelawny Municipal Corporation.
The original infirmary was destroyed by Hurricane Melissa last year.
The residents have been temporarily relocated to the Elletson Wakefield community centre.
Mayor Gager assured that construction work is far advanced at that the residents will soon be able to occupy their new home.
