Media worker shot and injured
A media worker is in serious condition after being shot in Harbour View. The victim has been identified as an engineer at Television Jamaica.
According to reports, the suspect, who allegedly carried out the shooting, has a history of mental health issues and is known to the victim.
It is reported that the suspect suffered a seizure at home before running onto the street. His father, concerned for his well-being, raised an alarm and sought the media worker’s assistance in locating him.
The suspect was later spotted near a gas station at the Harbour View roundabout. When the media worker approached and attempted to restrain him, the suspect reportedly disarmed him of his licensed firearm and shot him multiple times.
The injured man was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
The suspect has since been apprehended.
