There is a 29.3% reduction in murders.
Police data indicate that 130 homicides were recorded up to Saturday, March 28 – 54 fewer than the 184 recorded in the same period last year.
All divisions, except St. Andrew North, have recorded murders so far.
St. James recorded the highest with 18 followed by St. Andrew South with 15.
Kingston Central had 1.
The JCF is also reporting that 79 rape cases were reported, 1 down from the corresponding period last year.
Robberies declined by 40 and break-ins by 55.
