A new mobile application designed to strengthen oversight and accountability in the mining sector was launched yesterday.
Developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners, the Mining Matters Mobile App, aims to give residents a stronger voice in reporting mining concerns.
Speaking at the launch, Agriculture Minister Floyd Green said the platform will allow citizens to submit reports directly to the authorities, improving transparency and response times across the sector.
Green explained that the app will enable officials to efficiently track complaints and monitor issues raised by members of the public.
He added that reports submitted through the system will be reviewed and monitored, with users receiving feedback within three days.
