“No amount of funds can restore the damage caused by slavery.”

In June, Culture Minister Olivia Grange announced that Jamaica will be submitting a petition to King Charles requesting that he refers a set of legal questions to the Privy Council concerning reparations for slavery.
The formal petition will be made on September 6.
