Opposition Spokesman on Finance Julian Robinson has pointed to the need to reform the HEART/NSTA Trust, as part of efforts to have a skilled workforce, boost productivity and grow the economy.
In making his contribution to the budget debate yesterday Robinson cited challenges with the country’s education system and its ability to prepare people for participating in the work force.
Another proposal is for government to match the cost companies pay for upskilling workers via tax credit.
