Venessa Waugh loves the sweet life as a pâtissier.
What began as a weekend hobby of whipping up boxed cake mixes has evolved into a full-fledged enterprise fuelled by her passion for pastry-making and dedication to honing her craft.
With a cheering squad of family members and work colleagues as initial guinea pig testers encouraging her to go further, Waugh has steadily grown her culinary enterprise, Pastry Cravingz by V established in 2021, to cater weddings, birthdays and corporate social events.
"I love being able to help people create lifelong memories," Waugh told Loop's Young People in Business. "Nothing makes me happier than when I see customers excited over their customised pastries."
