Permanent Secretary Darlene Morrison will lead the creation of an incentive regime for the limestone sector.
Mining and Geology Minister Floyd Green made the disclosure at a post-Cabinet press briefing yesterday.
Mr. Green stated that Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has instructed his ministry to develop a limestone value-addition programme.
He emphasized that an incentive framework is essential to attract companies to invest in Jamaica’s limestone industry.
